Style: Sole Bliss Footwear

20:45

It actually feels like a lifetime since the Curve Fashion Festival, yet I'm still to fully recover I think! It was a packed weekend which I think those who were there would possibly agree was a victim of its own success. The event was rammed full all day which unfortunately caused a host of accessibility issues. BUT regardless, the time and effort put into the event was epic and it was so great to catch up with old friends, chat with brands and enjoy some afternoon cocktails! All of which brings me round to today's post, I was very lucky to be able to enjoy the day in my new Sole Bliss Boots

First and foremost, how beautiful are these boots? Let me count the ways... Secondly, which you would never guess, they are actually specialist boots for those with bunions. I know right?!!!

Disclaimer: I don't have bunions, but what I do have are large protruding bones on the sides of my feet, exactly where you might have a bunion. They can be quite painful, especially in shoes that don't fit correctly or are too narrow.

Because these are a specialist product, as you might suspect, don't come cheap. The Sole Bliss range, which includes shoes and boots, has been developed to include technology which ensures your feet are cushioned for comfort and because of the generous fit, they're great for wide fit feet too.

So how did they fare? Well I wore the boots from around 9am to 5pm, most of which I was on my feet. And I must admit, by mid afternoon, I was done. But that, I think was purely down to the heel height. I think the only way I could have survived the day was in trainers. I really did give the boots a baptism of fire. And despite the fact the balls of my feet were burning, within an hour or so, I was fine again, which never happens. Usually, if I've had a day in heels, I'm still in agony the next day.

So although I wouldn't recommend you wear these for eight hours straight on your feet (unless you're used to heels), I would definitely say for a night out, or a day at work where you're at your desk and just up and about now and then they would be absolutely fine. There was no rubbing against my boney bits, no breaking in, blisters, nothing. They were comfortable, straight away. Which, again, very rarely happens.

The quality of these boots is undeniable, and although they are at the top of a lot of people's budgets, they are an investment piece that will be with you for years. I know you probably get fed up of me saying that, and you all know I love a bargain as much as the rest them, but shoes and bags, I feel, should, where possible be a long term investment.

I've got lots of posts coming up with party wear, casual bits and workwear, so watch this space!
