OOTD: Making it work.

Hello! We’re going away for a few days this week, so I’d thought pop in a quick little outfit of the day post. I had to nip into town today to run a few errands, it’s not scorching here, but still pretty warm, so I went for an old faithful jeans and top combo.

Except, this isn’t a top, it’s a dress. I picked it up in the sale at Tesco a while back and although it’s perfectly nice as a dress, I found I’ve got more use out of it as a top by tucking it under to make it a bit shorter. It’s something I do quite often and sometimes even have dresses shortened permanently, it’s a great way to make your wardrobe work for you!
I’m really enjoying teaming navy with black at the moment too. The jeans are from Yours Clothing and are the best black ripped jeans I’ve found (and I’ve tried a fair few). The shoes are from New Look, they delightfully garish and I love them! Sadly they’re sold out now, but I’m loving these Clarks loafers as an alternative.
Keep an eye on my instagram @mrsbebeblog  for pics from the lovely Yorkshire countryside, if that’s your thing!

I'm loving this whole look, especially those gorgeous shoes. I've never tried switching up my wardrobe and wearing dresses as a top but I love the idea, it brings a whole new leash of life to clothes.
