Style: Days Six and Seven - Capsule Wardrobe Challenge.

Hello! It's days five and six of the challenge on the blog today. I had to pop out yesterday to pick Pops up from school, then run a few errands so I wore this little combo. (If you have not a clue what I'm referring to, by the way, click here for all the details on my capsule wardrobe challenge!)

DAY SIX

I wore: Houndstooth Top - Simply Be// Grey Cardigan - ELVi// Vest Top// Jeans - JUNAROSE// Shoes - ASOS// Bag - New Look

A quick note about the bag (it's fabulous isn't it?) I feel a bit bad as I didn't include bags on the challenge, but I have been rotating between this and my big tan Fiorelli bag, so I don't feel too bad, not like I've cheated or anything haha!

DAY SEVEN

What's that wondrous bright thing in the sky? I hear you cry! Why it's the sun my friends! I cannot tell you how pleased I was to have a brief few minutes in the sun between writing my essay. And lets have a fanfare for the first outing of 2015 for my sunglasses!

I wore: Stripe Dress (worn as a top) - H&M// Jersey Peg Legs - Simply Be// Shoes - Converse// Poppy Necklace - Life's Big Canvas

I got a little bit creative with this outfit, in that I wore the stripy dress from my choices a top. It's a really easy trick I do quite often to get a bit more wear out of my garments. I also use tube skirts as tube tops too in the summer! Or maxi skirts as dresses. It's just about making your wardrobe a bit more flexible!

A final note, you might have noticed my beautiful poppy necklace. I bought this last month from the lovely Chloe at Life's Big Canvas. The original design is a painting by Chloe's husband Ian McGenn which Chloe then had made into brooches and necklaces. I of course had to get myself a poppy, that way I can always have a beautiful poppy about my person.

Oh sun how I love thee

  1. Loving the capsule wardrobe! The colours are all great especially the yellow and grey. I could say I'm wearing a capsule wardrobe at the moment but only because I'm in a bit of a rut and keep washing and wearing the same old stuff!

    1. Thanks Wendy!! It can be easy to get stuck in a rut. I was the opposite, I think I had too much choice!! Xx
