Block rockin' beats...

Colour blocking has been huge for ages now. It's a really great way to make a bold statement, especially if you're a bit weary of prints. You can still go bright without being loud.

This tunic is one of my July picks from JUNAROSE.

What you can't see in the pics is that the blue section is the most beautifully textured, almost puckered fabric, there is an exposed zip detailing to the back and it's quite a weighty, quality fabric. It's a boxy fit, which I know isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I really like the paired down feel to it. I think on a day-to-day basis I'm more likely to wear it with ripped jeans and birkinstocks. But for the purposes of the pictures I wanted to glam it up a bit and get my chubby legs out.

You might remember that a few months back I went to Copenhagen for a day with JUNAROSE. You can check out some videos on their YouTube channel including a few with me talking about fashion and blogging and stuff. I'm terribly northern and look rough (I'd travelled 8 hours with a 4am start through 3 airports), but I love how they turned out anyway!

OOTD: In the strangest of places

Sometimes you find clothes in the strangest of places. I'd never really thought of looking on Etsy for clothes, for some reason I just thought they sold handmade crafty kinda things. I found this particular Etsy seller whilst browsing Pinterest, her art and style really caught my eye. I fell in love with this T-shirt and thought it was worth risking size-wise because the print was so awesome.

So yeh, it's pretty snug, but I don't care because it's so damn pretty. Sadly it has sold out now, but I have my eye on heaps of other things from Depeapa, the collection of homewares and accessories is just gorgeous.

Have you bought clothes from Etsy? Has it been positive experience?

Wishing and hoping...

I've known about Curvety for a while but I am yet to place an order. I've been browsing the site and have made a bit of a wish list. Curvety have a great selection of plus size clothing from brands such as Igigi, Kiyonna, Q'neel and Tia.

Their collection of plus size dresses range from gorgeous day wear to stunning evening and occasion wear. I've picked out a couple of really cute dresses, a fab top and of course, a jumpsuit! (No surprises there then!)

Have you picked anything up from Curvety before? Or is anything catching your eye on the site?

**This was a sponsored post. A girl's gotta eat. But as always, all opinions, words and choices are mine. I genuinely do  like all the clothes! Thanks gang**

I'm still here...

I haven't blogged for four days, which for me feels like an age! I'm still here, but it's the summer holidays so I've been out and about with the babba every day doing varying fun things! I thought I'd share some of my fave bits from the week!

Tuesday was a major fat babe day, I rocked a crop top and bikini pants at the paddling pool. We splashed and sploshed without a care in the world!

Thursday I picked up these gorgeous shoes from Marks and Spencer for £10.99, amazing huh? Crippling? Probably!

Friday we headed out for a play date. I just had to share this pic of Pops and I, she is terrible when it comes to posing for pics, usually too busy running around or dancing or looking anywhere but the camera, but I finally got her in all her cuteness. By gosh I love my girl! Being a mum isn't always easy, but she really is my life. So if I do go a bit quiet over the next 5 weeks it's just because me and the baby are having lots of fun!

OOTD: Paisley prints and marl

It would seem at the moment, every Thursday after watching This Old Thing on a Wednesday, I feel the need to dig out some vintage to wear the next day. I don't wear vintage every day, I don't even wear it every week, but I do love it and have dedicated much time to finding it. I've talked a little bit about how to track down plus size vintage and make it work for you over on the Huffington Post blog.

Inspired by last nights show I dug out one of my fave skirts. I picked this up from one of the Leeds Plus Size Clothes Swaps (The next one is September 13th click here for the details) which are a brilliant for picking up little gems!

I teamed it with a simple grey marl tee from Simply Be and Primark peep toe flats.

Power dressing...

Another jumpsuit, I know. I'm sorry. It's totally worth it though I promise!

I've got some lovely pieces to show you from JUNAROSE this month and I'm sad to say it will be my last month. It's been a truly wonderful year as a JUNAROSE ambassador, but my contract is up and it's time for all of us to step down and give a whole new batch of bloggers a chance to experience what we have. I can honestly say I am truly grateful for the amazing opportunity. I'm sure I'll blog some of their pieces from time to time anyway as I'll continue to be a loyal customer, but,  anyway lets move onto the fashion before I get all dewy eyed...

I'm calling this my 80s power bitch look, big hair, gold jewellery, jumpsuit wearing gloriousness. The strap jumpsuit is really thin and lightweight, and boy was I glad of it on Saturday night, it was scorching here, and the loose fit was very welcome. The pretty delicate beading to the neckline is very sweet too.

I was heading out to see my friends band, so I teamed it with flats so I could boogy and swept my hair back so I didn't get too hot and bothered.

As mentioned, I've got some other gorgeous JUNAROSE pieces to show you this month, so keep your eyes peeled for those.
