OOTD: Kimono and shoe of dreams....

I had a voucher to spend at ASOS so I picked up some yummy bits including this gorgeous kimono. Yes it's me in jeans and a kimono again, I know! But I also picked up the most banging shoes in the sale at JustFab. Oh my word. Seriously? They're pointy and green and shiny. Mermaid shoes, thats what they are, I tell thee!!

I wore: Kimono - ASOS Curve// Jeans - JUNAROSE// Shoes - JustFab

They're SO pretttttttty!!

Why so blue?

I seem to have developed a bit of a thing for blue clothes of late. Not quite sure why! The lovely guys at Scarlett and Jo sent me this dress to review, and look its blue!

The dress is quite a simple piece so I wanted to work with the gold buttons on the shoulder and add a few accessories. I'm not all together convinced it's worked as a look, maybe I should have kept it simple?

The dress as with all Scarlett and Jo dresses is gorgeous quality, and I usually size up to a 24, but this was quite baggy on me this time, so I think I could have done with my own size, if not a 20 so you could see the fit and flare style of the dress. The blue is really rich and pretty and the detailing to the shoulder is cute. I think it might work better with out the tights, maybe with ballet pumps and a denim jacket for the spring instead?

What do you guys think?

New YouTube post!

So I promised I'd do more YouTube posts, you lucky, lucky people! Ha! So when an email dropped into my inbox from a lovely lady called Dawn (sorry Dawn, hope you don't mind me telling everyone!) asking about my skin care, hair and make-up I thought it would make a fun video. I explained to Dawn that I really don't have much of a routine, nor do I have expensive make-up or take a lot of time on my look, which we had a giggle about!

So I thought it might be fun to do a bit of an anti-beauty blogger vid. It's a bit daft and might be a bit dull (sorry) but it's a little insight into my routine. Hope you enjoy it!!

P.S. To all you lovely beauty vloggers out there, you can rest assured your blogging crowns are very safe, I really do suck at girly stuff!!

A floral affair...

I was very kindly asked if I'd like to review a couple of bits from the SS14 Claire Richards Collection for Fashion World. Umm yeh I do. This is the part where I get to brag about meeting her and how I unashamedly love Steps. Cue gratuitous opportunity to show a picture of me and Claire again...

Just hanging with my best buddy Claire.

So the SS14 range is of course full of colour and lighter fabrics, swooshy maxi's and cute prom dresses. I went for this beautifully embroidered dress and fab peep toe shoes. I really wanted this amazing white coat too but it wasn't available at the time so I will have to try and purchase that a little later!

It's really rather bloody beautiful isn't it? It's a tulip shape which I love and yes, it has POCKETSSSS.  It's a perfect knee length and has a zip to the back. The sleeves come just above the elbow.

I ordered the 22 (UK) and found it true to size. It is a fitted dress, so if you do prefer a bit more room, then I would size up, but it really is a great fit. It has some stretch to it so it's very comfortable. The embroidery is so beautiful and the dress is great quality.

The shoes are insanely high but I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable and sturdy they felt. I'm presuming that's because of the platform. I'm really impressed with the outfit. Top marks to Claire and Fashion World!

My funny valentine...

So, I get an email from a brand, asking me to take part in a Valentines promo type thing. I'm given a couple of options on how I can take part, and what do I do? I say I'll do the lingerie.

Do not ask me what possessed me, but what seemed like a marvellous idea at the time turned into a hilarious photoshoot in our bedroom, with me having a panic attack over the fact I thought I would end up looking like something from a dodgy submission to a readers wives section.

May I first point out that is in no way a reflection of the beautiful lingerie I was sent, merely the fact that lady in bedroom + sexy undies + dodgy lighting = me looking silly!! But, if you possess slightly more confidence than me when it comes to sexy undies and you want to knock your respective partner/lover/whatever's socks off then I can highly recommend this beaut.

I'm wearing the Yours Clothing black mesh and lace underwired chemise. I went for the 42DD/E as I find garments like this incredibly tight otherwise, like can't get them on at all, restricting my breath tight!

The side panels are sheer with the lace section adding detail. The cups are padded and I found them to be a really good fit. I usually take a 38F in a bra so going up a back size or so and down in the cups worked out pretty well. Please don't let my lack of cleavage put you off, I have really wide set boobs so I never have a cleavage. If you look on the site you'll see some gorgeous model with ample boobage rocking it much better than I!!

I really liked this bodice it felt firm without being restrictive and I'm sure minus the addition of an iPhone and dodgy lighting I will enjoy wearing this for a more intimate occasion! I can report Mr BeBe approves greatly though!

Don't forget to use BLOGGER13 at the checkout and get £10 off she you spend £20 or more!!!

My chevron amour...

I know you've missed my pun-tastic titles, so I thought I'd bring them back!! In fashion terms summer is well underway and although it is still very much winter outside it's never too early to start planning your summer threads.

I was sent this gorgeous chevron maxi dress by the lovely folk at Bonmarche. It's from the David Emanuel range, he of the Princess Di wedding dress and most recently I'm a celeb fame.

The dress is beautiful quality and I've got a feeling the chevron print is going to be huge over the summer. I'm wearing the 24 (UK) purely because according to the size chart that where my measurements sat, but in all honestly I could have easily worn the 22, it has bags of room.

The one thing I will say is, I sadly found this dress too short on me to be a maxi. I'm 5'7" and it was that funny in between length, not long enough to be a maxi and not short enough for a midi. Which is a real shame. I'm going to have this taken up to make it work for me. But for you petite ladies, this is an absolute winner!!

I didn't think, I should have whipped my jacket off for you to see the sleeves, but quite frankly it was so cold in my garden I might have turned as blue as the streak in my hair!! It really is a very beautiful dress and wouldn't look out of place dressed up for a wedding or day at the races. Bonmarche has a great selection of plus size dresses, head to the site and have a gander!

Sundays were made for this...

Have you all had a lovely weekend? We had a lovely family day today, we went our for a carvery then for some donuts down the seafront. Days like this make me feel so grateful.

Living with mental illness can make even the most simplest of tasks seem like the hardest of challenges. This week has been tough. It's ok, I'm at a stage now after many years of this that I know it's just a week, or a day and that it will pass. Today was a good day. Becky 1 - Mentalness 0.

Bring me my donutssssss

Mmmmm Donuts. Hot and tasty.

Man on boob, I repeat, man on boob.

Always getting in on the action <3

What I wore for family fun times!
