Guys, as you can imagine I get my fair share of press releases through my inbox. Most of which are trying to sell something. But now and then I get ones that are about something much more important. I just thought I’d share this fab charity event with you. It sounds like so much fun and combines fashion with raising money for a very worthy cause, and one that I’m sure most of you will have been affected by at some point…

On Saturday 4th October, leading British fashion house Jacques Vert Group is hosting a charity walk around St James’s Park, London, followed by a VIP fashion catwalk, led by newsreader and TV presenter Natasha Kaplinsky, to showcase a range of new season coats from its collection of Elegant British Brands.
To join the ‘Coatwalk 2014’ tickets cost £27 which will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. £27 is enough to fund a Macmillan nurse for one whole hour and will make a real difference for people affected by cancer.
Spaces are limited for this exclusive day; only 300 tickets are available.
‘Coatwalk 2014’ will start around 12pm with a 3km walk in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, starting at One Great George Street, a stunning Grade II listed building off Parliament Square. The walk loops around St James’s Park taking in the stunning autumnal park views, with a photo opportunity for all participants with the celebrity event host.
After the 40-minute walk, participants will enjoy the ‘Coatwalk’ fashion show at One Great George Street. The high-energy ‘Coatwalk’ fashion show will feature Macmillan professionals and people who have benefited from their support, modelling outerwear, dresses and knitwear from the Elegant British Brands including: Windsmoor, Jacques Vert, Kaliko, Planet and Precis Petite.
Guests will enjoy afternoon tea refreshments as well as being able to pick out a new coat in a special shopping area. £10 from the sale of each coat sold at the event will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
