OMCZ - Challenge 4

Hello! That fortnight came round mightily quick! It's time for the next Outside My Comfort Zone Challenge. This time Rachel upped the stakes! There were 4 components to this challenge...

Colour - Orange// Print - Floral// Item - Jeans// Make Up - Bright Lipstick

I kind of cheated this week in that I didn't exactly meet the jeans component, jeans aren't massively challenging for me, I wear them all the time, so for the sake of pulling this outfit together I went for a floral trouser...

I wore... Sequin Sweatshirt - F&F Clothing (via Hanna)// Floral Trousers - So Fabulous (Similar)// Shoes - Rocket Dog

So this isn't an outfit for the faint hearted, but clothing wise I really enjoyed wearing all the different loud components, I think for me the biggest challenge and what took me outside my comfort zone was the lipstick, as you can see from the pic above I'm smushing my lips together because I feel so uncomfortable in lipstick, I never wear it... Let alone bright lipstick...

I'm not going to lie, the lipstick stayed on for all of half an hour before I had to wipe it off, I hate the feel of it, the taste of it, and how it makes me look, I just don't know how the overcome my lipstick fear! I feel the same about lip glosses and I can just about deal with lip balm! Help me beauty gurus!

Overall apart from the lipstick dramas I felt pretty awesome in this outfit, I loved the bold colours and the confidence it gave me, I would normally wear these trousers with a plain top and shoes and make them the feature of the outfit, but I loved wearing them with sparkle and brights!

  1. You looks great-maybe start wearing some tinted vasaline to get used to wearing something on your lips-or dont bother as you look fab with or without lippy x

  2. Love outfit. I share your lipstick fear, I get intimidated by the different shades and which ones clash, plus it tastes and feels funny and how are you even meant to put it on properly?
I only discovered your blog yesterday and love it :) x

  8. Those trousers are gorgeous. Love this outfit, you look bloody wonderful. The combo of sequins, floral and brights is just fantastic.

The only make-up I like is lipstick, but I think you look great with or without. Then again I only really like odd lipstick choices, like black or blue! Haha.
