Outside my comfort zone: Yellow

Hello everyone! Something a bit new this week! I was really excited when Rachel from Happyness Magnet asked if I'd like to join the OMCZ (Outside my comfort zone) challenge, I used to love doing the Five Take challenge and missed it very much so I jumped at the chance to do this!

So without further a do, this fortnights challenge is to incorporate a Yellow Skirt into your outfit. I was a little unnerved when I saw the brief as I don't own a yellow skirt and with money tight I didn't fancy buying one much, so I had to think a little bit outside of the box and that essentially is what these challenges are about and why I love them! So with no skirt I thought about the yellow items I did own and I remembered last summer I got a boob tube from primark for wearing in the garden on sunny days, so I got the summer suitcase down from the top of the wardrobe (I haven't had the heart to unpack my summer wardrobe yet) and managed to dig it out!

I teamed it with my black and white leopard print top from Simply Be, tights and Barratts boots. As you might have noticed I've gone a bit monochrome mental of late, but at London Fashion Week Sass and Bides show had lots of monochrome with pops of bright yellow, so I've kind of tried to do that, although mines more of a mustard yellow!

  5. I love the color combo! I have just recently learned that leopard print, no matter the color, it considered a neutral. Part of the process I assume, but I have to say, the mustard yellow pop with the skirt is brilliant! You are glowing, and that top couldn't be any more perfect, accentuating your assets! :) Sexy lady! (HI POPPY!!!!) :) Sorry I had to :)

  7. I can't get enough of your new haircut, looks so great on you!

Clever idea with the skirt. I think I don't have anything yellow at all in my wardrobe, not even a tank top :D

  9. sounds like a great challenge, although I would've been completely stuck this week as I think I only own one yellow item (and it's a dress), never mind something as specific as a skirt!
