Play Date

Errm can't decide if I hate that term or not, play date? The jury's out! So anyway, you might remember my lovely friend Sara had a beautiful baby boy a couple of months ago and now that I've moved back to my home town we can go on lots of fab mummy day trips!

In our infinite wisdom we thought it might be amusing to go to one of those horrific soft play areas, erm no, it really wasn't a good idea. ALL of the children were completely ferrel including my own bundle of joy, who is slightly deranged at the best of times was completely insane when egged on by what seemed like a thousand other children. I very wisely though had already copped hold of Kobi, so obviously I couldn't go running after Poppy when I was holding baby, so I sent Sara after her, I told her she was in a training programme for when Kobi was a toddler.. Ha!

So what does one wear to a soft play area, well.... I probably should have worn something suitably mumsy and comfortable... Screw that! I put on my fabulous floral trousers, leopard trim blouse and leather jacket of course!

Have you ever worn something inappropriate for the occasion just so you can feel fabulous?

  4. I feel suitably smug that at age 6 my little girl has stopped wanting to go to softplay areas. Some of the most depressing episodes of motherhod so far have been played out in those hell holes. Lovely outfit, and yes of course ive dressed innapropriately on many occasion. It makes me happy and I like to think it entertains the locals.
