Ok Cor(r)al

Eeeeee! How nice is the weather? Sorry to be a weather bore, but I truly love sunny weather it cheers me up no end!

I'm not, however the best summer dresser, I can get a bit lazy and just bang on a jumpsuit or maxi for ease and convenience. So, when I had a voucher to spend at Tesco earlier this month I decided to get a few bits that we're outside my comfort zone.

One of the items I bought was this lovely coral peter pan collar jersey dress. In some senses I guess it isn't that far out of my comfort zone, I love a peter pan collar and coral is one of my favourite shades, but I am most certainly not comfortable with my legs. I just don't like them, they're a weird shape, so I don't tend to bare my legs that often.

What I wore:
Dress - Tesco
Belt - Dorothy Perkins
Necklace - Lifes Big Canvas
Shoes - Next

The dress did indeed prove to be a little too far out of my comfort zone so I popped a pair of pedal pushers on for my own comfort, I was just so scared of flashing my knickers at people! I know I'm a complete wimp!!

Michael kind of caught me with my eyes shut for this one, it was so bright and lovely I closed my eyes for a moment in the sun!!

So anyway back to the dress, at just £16 is a great addition to my summer wardrobe, and maybe my confidence will grow and I'll feel brave enough to wear it with out the capri pants!!!...maybe.

Does summer pose a wardrobe challenge for you? Do you have a summer uniform that you could maybe do with mixing up?

  2. Love the dress- you look great in it, and your legs are fab!
But I know how you feel; I've got a major complex about my legs and I'm trying to get over it so I can bare them.

  4. Nothing wrong with your legs! Blogging has given me so much more confidence, I've always felt I have a funny body shape but i'm developing a 'fuck it, i'll wear what I please' attitude. I never get my legs out becasue I've funny knees and big calfs but this summer the world will have to just get used to them being out in the open! xx

    1. Thanks Danielle. It really has boosted my confidence too, and although I've accepted and now love my body and size as a whole I still have those niggling little, and I hate the word, but, "problem" areas that I'm still not 100% ok with!! I'll definitely get there though!! I love your attitude, it rocks!! xxx

  6. You look gorgeous. And, if you don't want your undies to be seen, maybe wear some cycle shorts? It could be a gradual way to make you less frightened of showing those lovely legs of yours. Maybe take it as part of the challenge. ;)

My challenge was going out without a bra. Been overcoming it so far with a bodysuit I got at the swap, although I almost had a wardrobe malfunction earlier today at the park. Oops! But nothing too serious. x

    1. Thanks Cyn. It's definitely something to think about, as I mentioned to Danielle above, I love body as a whole but I still have those funny areas I'm still learning to love!!

Glad to hear you didn't do a full on Janet Jackson at the park!! ;) xxx
