Review: Eliza Parker, Venice Dress

The wonderful folks over at Eliza Parker very kindly offered to send me one of their dresses to review, I decided to go for the beautiful Venice dress.

Despite being based in America, the dress arrived in super quick time and was very well packaged. Being a polyester/spandex (lycra) mix there was very little creasing to the dress when it came out of the packaging. The fabric is a heavyweight mix and the dress itself is fully lined ensuring a smooth silhouette. at $189.00 (£121.00 approx) I must admit this dress will be out of a lot of peoples price range, but the price really is reflective of the outstanding quality of this garment, it feels so luxurious and what I can only describe as "substantial" and by that I mean you really know you're wearing it, its not flimsy. If you have a special occasion, or are looking for that "go to" piece that is going to last for years to come then it really is worth investing in this dress or one from the great range at Eliza Parker.

I found sizing a little tricky, as you've read in some of my other post I'm a bit of an "inbetweenie" I opted for the 18/20 (USA) (UK 20/22) in hindsight I should have sized down to a 14/16 as the dress was too loose in the bust for me, and droops, but this could easily be remedied with a small stitch to the crossover section.

So what does it look like on? I'd like to issue a warning.....Ha Ha!!! I look so slim in these pictures, I do not want to be any slimmer, I am very happy with my size and have not doctored the pictures in anyway, I just really do look slimmer in them...weird huh? I think this is in part due to the dress, so if you *do* want to appear more slim line, it seems this dress is a bit of a miracle worker!!!
